I thought I would hate wearing one -- and knew it wasn't going to cover up my face going down the aisle -- but in the end I loved it. Wearing it gave me an unexpected sense of privacy, if that makes sense (since it's sheer!), like I was both protected in a bubble but also available to be seen. It's hard to find the words, but it was the most "bridey" thing I wore and also made me feel the most different, but something about it enveloping me, being in my peripheral vision, felt like it kept me in my own world in a way I liked.
