Yep, Marco and I have decided to do the marriage thing. We're feeling rather ecstatic -- nearly missed a hurricane, spent a few glorious days on a beach, and are now very joyfully kvelling with family and friends!
Mazel tov! As someone who also had a brief first marriage, I experienced the decision to get married again (once we got past the whole "do we believe in this institution" thing) as the best kind of optimism -- hopeful without buying into any fantasies. Enjoy, and thanks for sharing that optimism with the world!
Congratulations Deborah!!!!! Just saw the good new in Woodhull Weekly. Wishing you and Marco all the very best. Warmest regards, Manisha Thakor (Woodhull 57/ OnMyOwnTwoFeet)
CONGRATULATIONS!!! Now, I REALLY can't wait to see you on Friday! Newly married friends are one of the few people who actually LIKE hearing all the engagement and wedding details. I am so, so happy for you. You deserve nothing less!
While I'm officially on my 1st marriage, I had a previous 5-yr, live-in/engaged thing I don't often mention (the wedding was all set, dress bought, cake ordered and all that), so in many ways this is my second shot. And it's WAY better. Second wedding-planning was actually how I wanted things (low-key!), and second guy is actually right for me. Whew!

Mazel Tov! I can't believe I didn't see this in my RSS reader yesterday, but anyway, I wish you all the best in the world.
Cheers,
Marjorie
Thank you, Judith! On the optimism front, nothing like a second marriage says "I do believe," huh?
And thank you Marjorie -- and congrats to YOU on all the FABULOUS news about Daring Book selling off the shelves!!

Oh, Mazel Tov, Deborah! That's fabulous news.

Do believe, and do enjoy! Congrats.
