I'm posting this cause I dig the cover. It's a book published in 2006 called A Woman for President: The Story of Victoria Woodhull, and it "brings a fascinating character from history to schoolchildren." And in case folks are wondering who the Woodhull Institute is named for and all.

Yes the cover is cool. And I'm not too young to read this! Walker & Co gives us the teacher's guide for free (to teach ourselves first)--check out Cathryn Berger Kaye's service learning ideas including kidsvotingusa.org. Look how author Kathleen Krull encourages, "For me, writing is a form of social activism." And Krull also writes Lives of Extraordinary Women.
